Doctors reviewing case files

  • Dr Barri Phatarfod MBBS FRACGP  founder of Doctors for Refugees graduated from Monash University in 1988 and has 30 years’ experience as a GP in Sydney and rural NSW. She was previously a Councillor of NSW AMA and is currently based in Sydney.

  • Dr Igal Augarten MBBS FRACGP is a Sydney based GP of 40 years’ experience graduating from ANU in 1977. He is a Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW and previously served as Councillor on NSW AMA. He is a practice principal at Albemarle Medical in Rose Bay.

  • Dr Paddy McLisky MNBBS FRACGP graduated in Adelaide and is currently a Brisbane GP with special interest in skin cancer. He is a member of the AMA Queensland.

  • Dr David Berger MBBS is a UK trained medical practitioner working as remote emergency doctor in Broome WA. He is..

  • Dr John Endacott MBBS FRACP is a specialist geriatrician based in rural Queensland with an interest in palliative care. He is the founder of the End of Life Care committee at Sunshine Coast Health Service.

  • Dr Kellie West MBBS is a surgical resident and recently returned from further training in Africa. She was one of the original committee members of Doctors for Refugees.

  • Dr Matthew Gould is a UK trained medical practitioner currently working as a manager in Face to Face fundraising, working with highly regarded NGOs.

  • Amy Corderoy was the health editor for Sydney Morning Herald and an award winning health journalist for many years. She is currently studying medicine.
