As Manus and Nauru remain open, refugees' health remain compromised, deaths are continuing and the US deal looks increasingly uncertain, it is an important time to show our support for our refugees. Please join us in these 2 very important events around the country:
MARCH IN MARCH SYDNEY: REFUGEE RIGHTS CONTINGENT
The March in March - an important march calling for transparency and accountability for prominent issues affecting Australians. Importantly, there is a refugees rights contingent and a D4R group will form a key part of it. (Facebook event page)
Join the Doctors4refugees contingent - meet at the D4R banner at 12:30 next to the RAC stall, between Eddy avenue and the stage. Look for the other refugee advocacy groups and we will be there
THE PALM SUNDAY REFUGEE RALLY
The biggest refugee advocacy march of the year. Events are currently being arranged around the country so keep your eye out for updates, more cities to be added as well as meeting places for D4R members:
Adelaide - Sunday 9 April 2017 14:00. (Facebook event page)
Melbourne - Sunday 9 April 2017 14:00. State Library, Melbourne at 2pm (gathering from 1:30pm) and we expect to be finished the Walk by 3:30pm.
Sydney - Sunday 9 April 2017 14:00. Archibald Fountain, Hyde Park North, Sydney. (Facebook event page)
We look forward to marching along side as many D4R members as possible! Let's make it our best turn out yet.
